Pretzel sandwiches are an original dish of Russian cuisine that combines tender pastry with a spicy meat filling. The roots of this recipe trace back to the traditions of Russian fairs where pretzels were a popular snack. The dough made with yeast and margarine creates an airy structure, while baking with coarse salt gives it a crispy crust. Each pretzel is filled with boiled sausage and a fragrant mixture of eggs, cheese, and green peas dressed with mayonnaise and sour cream. This unusual sandwich combines the softness of the dough, the saltiness of the filling, and the freshness of greens, creating a harmony of flavors. It is perfect for festive tables or cozy home gatherings, adding a special Russian flair to the meal.
