Berry marzipan pie is an Estonian dessert that combines tender dough, aromatic marzipan, and fresh blueberries. Estonia is famous for its pastry traditions, and marzipan is considered one of the favorite sweets here. Legends say that marzipan was originally created by apothecaries as a medicinal remedy, but its exquisite taste quickly made it a popular treat. In this pie, the softness of the creamy dough harmonizes with the light tartness of the berries, while the marzipan filling adds a nutty sweetness. It is perfect for morning coffee or evening tea time. With its rich flavor profile and airy texture, the pie will be a centerpiece at the table, especially during warm family evenings.
