Baked Apples

40 minutes
A simple and beautiful dessert that is present in many cuisines around the world. There are many variations of this dish: somewhere it is stuffed with cottage cheese, somewhere it is wrapped in dough, and the presence of honey in baked apples is the most important component of the Jewish New Year. It is important not to overbake the apples, otherwise the skin will burst. The finished apple should be soft to the touch, with barely darkened skin and a caramelized surface.
