Cake 《 Homemade 》

The 'Homemade' cake is the embodiment of comfort and traditions of Russian cuisine. Its tender layers, made from whipped eggs, flour, and sugar, are soaked with two types of cream. The first is made from cottage cheese and boiled condensed milk, giving the cake softness and creamy richness. The second is an airy cream cheese that adds lightness and sophistication. The dessert's special touch comes from layers of fruit: sweet bananas and refreshing kiwi create a multifaceted flavor. The top layer is covered with melted dark chocolate that beautifully drips down the sides of the cake, creating an impressive visual effect. Decoration with favorite sweets gives it individuality. This cake is the perfect choice for family tea time or celebrations; it brings a sense of home warmth and joy. Once soaked, it becomes even softer, revealing its rich flavor.

Preparing the cake layer. It is advisable to make it a day in advance so it doesn't crumble when cut. Separate the egg whites from the yolks and place the whites in the refrigerator for 15 minutes. Divide the sugar into two parts and beat the yolks with one part of sugar; then take out the egg whites and beat them with the second part of sugar until creamy. Gently fold the egg whites into the yolks, then add flour, preferably through a sieve; I also added a bit of cocoa powder for color and flavor. Grease a baking pan with vegetable oil and pour in our future cake layer; bake in the oven at 180 degrees Celsius for 30-35 minutes. The finished cake can be wrapped in plastic wrap or covered with a towel and left to sit for at least 8 hours. Then cut the cake into three different parts.
- Chicken egg: 3 pieces
- Sugar: 1.5 glass
- Wheat flour: 1.5 glass

Mix cottage cheese with boiled condensed milk and spread it on the first (bottom) layer, then place thinly sliced banana pieces on the cream, apply cream again, and cover with the second layer. The bottom layer of the cake is ready.
- Cottage cheese: 300 g
- Boiled condensed milk: 1 jar
- Bananas: 2 pieces

We proceed to the second cream, which will be on the second layer and on the entire surface of the cake. We whip melted butter with powdered sugar and add cream cheese. This is our cream cheese. We apply it to the second layer of the cake, place kiwi slices, and apply cream cheese again. We cover it with the third layer. Now we start decorating.
- Butter: 100 g
- Powdered sugar: 150 g
- Cream cheese: 350 g
- Kiwi: 2 pieces
4
Spread the remaining cream cheese over the entire surface of the cake, including the sides, and smooth the surface with a knife or any other convenient tool.
5
Now we melt the dark chocolate in a water bath and pour it over the edges of the cake so that it flows beautifully down our creation.
- Dark chocolate 70%: 150 g
6
The cake is almost ready, only the decoration is left. I decorated the cake with Oreo cookies, Kinder chocolate, nut bars, and wafer sticks. You can use any sweets, and you can also decorate the center of the cake as you wish.

Now our cake is ready, it's very important to let it sit for a couple of hours for the layers to soak in the cream.
