Simple pumpkin puree soup is the embodiment of comfort and warmth in one bowl. Its delicate texture and rich flavor make it an ideal dish for autumn and winter evenings. This recipe traces back to European culinary traditions where pumpkin is used not only in desserts but also in nutritious soups. The combination of sweet pumpkin, soft onion, and a hint of sea salt creates a harmony of flavors. Olive and pumpkin oils add depth and velvetiness, while ground chili adds a subtle spiciness. This soup warms wonderfully, is easily digestible, and works well as a standalone dish or paired with crispy croutons. Its simplicity makes it accessible even for novice cooks, while its elegance can adorn any table.
