Canned fish soup is a simple and cozy dish that saves you when you crave something warm but have no time for complex preparations. Its roots lie in the everyday life of European cuisine, where housewives sought quick and accessible ways to feed their families. The soup has a rich fish flavor complemented by the aroma of bay leaves and the freshness of dill. Thanks to the canned fish, it gains a pleasant tenderness, while the onion adds a light spiciness. This soup is perfect for dinner in cold weather or as an express lunch that can be prepared in just a few minutes. It is good on its own but can be enhanced with croutons or a slice of rye bread for added heartiness.
