Lemon, Basil and Pine Nut Pesto
4 servings
15 minutes
Pesto made from lemons, basil, and pine nuts is a bright and refreshing sauce inspired by Mediterranean culinary traditions. Unlike classic pesto, this version uses Meyer lemon, which adds softness, a sweet tanginess, and a light floral note to the dish. Basil adds freshness while pine nuts provide a nutty depth of flavor. Parmesan and garlic enrich the taste, and olive oil envelops all the ingredients to create a velvety consistency. This pesto pairs perfectly with pasta, fish or chicken and can also serve as a flavorful dressing for salads and appetizers. It brings the sun and warmth of southern European regions to dishes, making every meal festive and exquisite.
