Homemade shawarma with chicken

Homemade chicken shawarma is a delicious and hearty dish inspired by the street food traditions of Azerbaijan. Its roots trace back to Eastern cuisine, where fresh lavash wraps around a flavorful filling of meat, vegetables, and spicy sauces. In this recipe, tender chicken is first boiled and then browned in a pan for an appetizing crust. Crispy onions and juicy cherry tomatoes add freshness, while Korean-style carrots provide a spicy touch. Everything is combined with a homemade sauce of mayonnaise and ketchup, with the finishing touch being frying in the pan until golden brown. The shawarma turns out juicy with a rich flavor balancing between the sweetness of vegetables, spiciness of spices, and tenderness of chicken. It’s perfect for a cozy family dinner or a quick snack while remaining a true gastronomic delight.
