Stuffed baton is a hearty and original snack rooted in Russian culinary traditions. The idea of filling bread with a tasty filling arose from the desire to create quick yet nutritious dishes. This version uses white baton, which is carefully hollowed out and filled with a fragrant mixture of canned fish, sautéed vegetables, eggs, cucumbers, and herbs. After cooling, it achieves a dense and rich texture, while the taste combines the softness of the bread with the spiciness of the filling. This baton can be conveniently sliced into portions, making it an excellent option for festive tables or picnics. Spices enhance the depth of flavor, and cooling helps the ingredients absorb each other's aromas, creating a harmonious dish.

Carefully remove the crumb and place it in a bowl, add canned fish, a small onion and carrot sautéed in butter, eggs, fresh or pickled cucumbers, and finely chopped herbs. Add salt, pepper, and other spices to taste.
