Hot Charlotte Sandwiches

That same grandma's pie, but in a version for the laziest. Grated apple mixed with bread crumb really does resemble warm airy dough, and if you make such a sandwich on buttery, spongy brioche instead of regular sandwich bread , you can achieve maximum similarity with a real charlotte. An excellent end to some seemingly non-festive dinner, if you suddenly want to surprise your family.
