Cabbage salad with prunes is a simple yet exquisite dish of Russian cuisine that harmoniously combines the freshness of vegetables with the sweet taste of dried fruits. White cabbage gives the salad a crunchy texture, carrots add juiciness and a slight sweetness, while prunes provide softness and a rich, deep flavor with fruity notes. Parsley refreshes the overall composition, and salt emphasizes the balance of ingredients. Historically, the combination of cabbage and prunes was popular in Russian cooking due to the availability of products and their nutritional value. This salad is perfect as a standalone dish or side dish, especially in winter months when it enriches with vitamins and energizes. Its lightness makes it an excellent choice for everyday and festive tables.
