Shallot with millet is a simple yet refined dish of European cuisine that combines the tenderness of caramelized onions and the soft texture of millet. Millet, known for its ancient history in Slavic and Mediterranean cuisines, takes on a new hue here thanks to the aroma of olive oil and the sweet notes of shallots. The dish is characterized by its lightness and balanced flavor, making it an excellent side for meat or fish, as well as a standalone warm salad. Its simplicity in preparation makes it a great choice for a cozy home dinner where the naturalness of ingredients and richness of flavor nuances are appreciated.
