Egyptian salad 'Mallawi' is a simple yet exquisite dish that reflects the traditions of Egyptian cuisine. Its base is tender feta cheese, which gains a piquant freshness from lemon juice and aromatic olive oil. Cucumbers and sweet red onions add crunchiness, while herbs like parsley, dill, and mint fill the salad with refreshing notes. The light spiciness of ground cumin enriches the flavor with an Eastern touch. 'Mallawi' perfectly complements meat, kebabs, and fish, making it a wonderful side dish.
