Kisir is a traditional dish of Turkish cuisine, full of freshness and Mediterranean aromas. Its base is bulgur, which gently absorbs a dressing of lemon juice and olive oil, giving the salad a light tanginess and softness. Crunchy vegetables like tomatoes, sweet peppers, and onions fill it with juiciness, while herbs—parsley, green onions, and fresh mint—offer incredible freshness. Kisir is considered not just a snack but a true symbol of Turkish hospitality. It is often served at festive tables or as a light and nutritious dish for family meals. This salad pairs perfectly with meat and fish dishes and refreshes on hot days.
