Sicilian salad with oranges (Insalata di arance)

This is a very simple recipe of Sicilian cuisine, which may seem strange, but having tried to cook it once, you will leave it on the list of your favorite dishes for a long time.

Slice the onion.

Place it in a container and soak in cold water for 10 minutes to soften the taste.

Peel the oranges, removing all the white part under the skin. Cut them into slices of 1/2-1 cm.

In a separate container, mix olive oil with salt and pepper

Place the oranges on a plate, top with onions and olives. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with pine nuts for a more original taste.
