Salad with cheese and croutons

Salad with cheese and croutons is an elegant combination of fresh salad leaves, crunchy baguette croutons, and savory cheese. This recipe draws inspiration from European culinary traditions, where minimalism in ingredients meets richness in flavor. Crunchy croutons infused with garlic and lemon juice add textural contrast to the tender salad leaves and soft grated cheese. Mayonnaise serves as a binding element, transforming the dish into a harmonious taste delight. This salad is perfect for a light snack or as a refined appetizer on a festive table. Its fresh taste and simplicity of preparation make it a versatile choice for any occasion.

1
Chop the salad and cabbage, grate the cheese on a coarse grater. Mix everything, adding a little salt.
- Green salad: 1 bunch
- Chinese cabbage: 1 head
- Cheese: 150 g
- Salt: to taste
2
Cut several slices of baguette into cubes and place them in a hot pan greased with sunflower or olive oil. Keep on low heat, stirring occasionally, until the bread turns into croutons. You can add salt and pepper. It's better not to make the croutons too hard for easier eating.
- French baguette: 1 piece
- Salt: to taste
- Ground black pepper: to taste
3
Add garlic to the salad (it's better to use a garlic press for chopping), a little lemon juice (lime juice can be used for an even better taste), and mayonnaise. Mix thoroughly, portion out, and sprinkle with croutons on top.
- Garlic: 2 cloves
- Lemon juice: to taste
- Mayonnaise: to taste
