This salad with cabbage, cucumbers, and corn is a light, refreshing, and simple dish that is perfect for a summer lunch or dinner. Its roots go back to traditional Russian cuisine, known for its simplicity and harmony of flavors. Crispy cabbage adds freshness, juicy cucumbers provide a light coolness, and sweet corn enriches the salad with gentle sweetness. A dressing of mayonnaise or sour cream makes the flavor richer and unites the ingredients into a harmonious combination. This salad can serve as an excellent side dish for meat and fish dishes or as a light snack on its own. The simplicity of preparation and availability of ingredients make it an excellent choice for everyday meals.

1
Chop the cabbage. You can use napa cabbage instead of young cabbage (I have about 300 g of half a head).

2
Slice the cucumbers into half rings.
- Cucumbers: 2 pieces
3
Mix cabbage, cucumbers, corn (about 130 g) and dress with mayonnaise or sour cream. You can sprinkle with finely chopped dill.

- Mayonnaise: to taste
