Layered salad with sprats and cheese

2 servings

20 minutes

Layered salad with sprats and cheese is a bright decoration for the festive table, inspired by Russian culinary traditions. The combination of tender layers of potatoes, carrots, eggs, and cheese with aromatic sprats creates a rich and harmonious taste. Mayonnaise adds juiciness to the dish, while herbs and olives provide exquisite decorativeness. This salad not only pleases the eye but also offers unforgettable gastronomic sensations. The visual presentation in the form of a tree makes it even more original, while pickled mushrooms add spicy notes. Such a salad is perfect for festive events, creating an atmosphere of coziness and traditional family gatherings.

In the middle, we make 4 stripes (width — 3 cm) to create the trunk of the tree, then sprinkle curly parsley (leaves) on top; we lay small pieces of olives horizontally along the trunk; at the bottom, we make grass by sprinkling regular parsley and a bit of green onion. Under each birch trunk, we place pickled mushrooms.
