Tomato salad is a bright and refreshing dish characteristic of Latin American cuisine, where juicy vegetables are combined with a spicy dressing. The recipe is based on ripe tomatoes that provide natural sweetness and juiciness to the salad. Yellow onion adds a mild sharpness, while green bell pepper brings freshness and a crunchy texture. Red wine vinegar and olive oil create a harmonious balance of acidity and softness. The heat of serrano chili pepper makes the flavor expressive. This salad perfectly complements meat dishes, especially grilled or roasted meat, adding richness and contrast to the meal. Its history is linked to traditional summer treats when fresh ingredients highlight the natural aromas and colors of Latin American cuisine.
