Meat salad baskets are a delightful dish that combines crispy crumbly dough with a tender, spicy filling. This is an exquisite appetizer option that beautifully decorates a festive table or light buffet. Crispy baskets baked to a golden color are filled with refreshing meat salad with greens, sour apples, and carrots. The dressing of sour cream and mustard adds tenderness and a slight spiciness to the dish, while the pistachio garnish adds a subtle nutty accent. Baskets are a popular serving option in Italian cuisine, where harmonious textures and flavor contrasts are valued. This recipe is perfect for those who want to surprise guests with an unusual combination of simple and accessible ingredients, turning them into a true culinary masterpiece.

1
Chop the butter with flour and salt, and rub it into a coarse crumb. Pour in water and quickly knead the dough. It's very convenient to do this in a food processor.
- Butter: 100 g
- Wheat flour: 200 g
- Salt: to taste
- Water: 4 tablespoons
2
Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes. Then roll it out thinly (0.3 mm), place it in molds, press the dough against the walls, and trim the excess. Stack the molds with the dough on top of each other, 3-5 pieces, and place an empty mold on top, pressing the whole 'structure' slightly.
3
Bake in a preheated oven (180 degrees) for 15 minutes, then separate the stack and bake for another 15-20 minutes until golden brown. Let cool.
4
Finely chop the meat and greens; grate the carrot and apple on a medium grater. Mix the sour cream with mustard.
- Beef: 300 g
- Green: 1 bunch
- Carrot: 2 pieces
- Sour apples: 2 pieces
- Sour cream: 4 tablespoons
- Mustard: 3 tablespoons
5
Combine everything and place the salad in baskets. Garnish each with chopped nuts, sprigs of greens, or to your taste.
- Crushed pistachios: 3 tablespoons
- Green: 1 bunch
