Shopska salad with chili pepper is a bright and refreshing dish of Bulgarian cuisine, known for its rich flavor and appetizing combination of ingredients. This salad was born in the heart of the Balkans and has become a symbol of local gastronomy. The classic Shopska salad consists of juicy tomatoes, crunchy cucumbers, roasted sweet peppers, and spicy onions, united by the aroma of fresh parsley and delicate feta cheese. The addition of chili pepper gives the salad a spiciness that makes it particularly appealing to lovers of hot dishes. Grated feta cheese on top creates a harmonious complement that softens the sharp notes of the pepper. This salad is perfect as an appetizer or light side dish, complementing meat and fish dishes. Its freshness and lightness make it indispensable in summer menus, while the combination of textures is a true delight for gourmets.
