Algerian salad is a bright, refreshing dish of African cuisine that combines the freshness of vegetables with the spicy aroma of herbs and the tanginess of wine vinegar. Historically, this salad reflects Algeria's culinary heritage, where Mediterranean and Arab flavors intertwine. Crunchy cucumber, sweet green pepper, and tender olives create a harmony of textures, while cilantro and mint add freshness and a slight sharpness. The dressing made from olive oil and wine vinegar highlights the richness of flavor, making the salad an ideal complement to meat dishes or a light standalone treat on hot days.
