Salad with oil and vinegar is a classic dish of Russian cuisine, simple and elegant. The lightness of fresh green salad perfectly combines with the sour-spicy note of vinegar and the softness of vegetable oil, creating a refreshing and tangy taste. This salad is often complemented by cucumbers, which add a crunchy texture, while garlic croutons provide aromatic richness. The history of such a salad goes back centuries when simple yet refined dishes formed the basis of peasant and noble feasts. It is perfect as a light side dish to meat dishes or as a standalone treat on a hot summer day.
