Chicken salad "Capercaillie's nest"
6 servings
30 minutes
The 'Capercaillie Nest' salad is a true masterpiece of Russian cuisine that combines simplicity and sophistication. The dish's name is inspired by its unique presentation—tender chicken fibers, crispy potato straws, and greens form a 'nest' with quail eggs in the center symbolizing a clutch. This dish captivates not only with its appearance but also with its rich flavors—juicy chicken breast, fresh cucumbers, and airy whites are harmoniously complemented by the spicy note of onion and the creamy softness of mayonnaise. Light yet filling, this salad is perfect for both festive tables and cozy family dinners. It highlights traditional Russian hospitality and the art of food decoration, creating an atmosphere of comfort and celebration.

If there are no quail eggs, you can make egg decorations for this salad from yolks. For this, they need to be mixed with mayonnaise, add finely chopped herbs, shape small balls from this mixture, and place them on the salad.

- Mayonnaise: to taste
- Green: 200 g
