Pasta with parmesan is a classic Italian dish that is simple to prepare yet has a refined taste. It originated in sunny Italy, where pasta holds a central place in the cuisine. Tender pasta infused with the aroma of butter and olive oil harmoniously combines with the brightness of fresh tomatoes, the mild spice of nutmeg, and the heat of red pepper flakes. Basil adds freshness to the dish while grated parmesan imparts a rich and deep flavor. This dish is versatile: it can be served as a standalone dinner, accompanied by a light salad, or used as a side for meat.
