Meat pizza with mushrooms and red onion is a true embodiment of Italian hospitality with a European twist. Its roots lie in the traditions of homemade pizza, where juicy meat, fresh vegetables, and aromatic mushrooms create a harmonious blend of flavors. The crispy dough soaked in spicy tomato sauce, tender filling, caramelized champignons, and red onion create a rich texture. The spiciness of mozzarella cheese adds depth to the taste, while the greenery of dill and parsley completes the picture with freshness. This dish is perfect for a cozy dinner or friendly gathering, delighting with its rich flavors and appetizing aroma.

1
Let's prepare all the ingredients: dough, tomato sauce to your taste (I used spicy), fresh mushrooms, tomatoes, sweet pepper, onion, garlic, olive oil, dill and parsley greens, grated cheese (I have mozzarella).
- Spicy tomato sauce: 6 tablespoons
- Fresh champignons: 150 g
- Tomatoes: 1 piece
- Sweet pepper: 1 piece
- Onion: 1 piece
- Garlic: 3 cloves
- Olive oil: 50 ml
- Dill: 5 g
- Chopped parsley: 5 g
- Mozzarella cheese: 200 g
2
Fry the minced meat with onion and garlic, adding a little olive oil.
- Ground beef: 150 g
- Minced pork: 100 g
- Onion: 1 piece
- Garlic: 3 cloves
- Olive oil: 50 ml
3
We add tomato sauce.
- Spicy tomato sauce: 6 tablespoons
4
We mix it, let it simmer a bit, and it becomes a meat sauce — the main ingredient of our pizza.

I suggest frying the mushrooms right away to avoid returning to the stove and pans later. The mushrooms could be fried with the minced meat, but I decided otherwise; they are mainly planned for decoration and aroma. Fry until golden brown, adding a little olive oil and salt.
- Fresh champignons: 150 g
- Olive oil: 50 ml
- Salt: pinch
6
Here we are at the dough, it needs to be stretched by hand into the pizza baking shape, doing this carefully, sprinkling with flour and pressing with palms, as the dough is quite thin.
7
We spread and distribute the meat sauce.
8
We slice the tomato and arrange it in the mold.
- Tomatoes: 1 piece
9
Cut the sweet pepper into rings and place it on top of the tomatoes.
- Sweet pepper: 1 piece
10
We sprinkle half of the cheese on our pizza.
- Mozzarella cheese: 200 g
11
We chop the red onion not too finely for aroma, juiciness, and to make the pizza look more cheerful; I decided to place it above the cheese layer.
- Red onion: 0.5 piece
12
Here we are at the mushrooms, to prevent them from getting lost inside the filling, I also placed them on top.
- Fresh champignons: 150 g
13
Sprinkle the pizza with the remaining cheese and send it to a preheated oven at 220 °C for 10-15 minutes until ready. I recommend placing the pizza slightly below the central rack since the main filling is already prepared; we just need to bake the dough, melt the cheese, and slightly roast the vegetables.
- Mozzarella cheese: 200 g

After taking our pizza out of the oven, we sprinkle it with finely chopped dill and parsley. That's it, the pizza is ready. Enjoy your meal!
- Chopped parsley: 5 g
- Dill: 5 g
