Boil water and cook the fettuccine until al dente, about 12 minutes. Once ready, drain a cup of water and set it aside — we will need it. Drain the remaining water and keep the pasta in the pot.
- Fettuccine pasta: 500 g

While the water is boiling and the pasta is cooking, cut the chicken fillet into cubes and the cherry tomatoes in half. The chicken can also be cubed after frying, which will make the seasoning less noticeable.
- Chicken fillet: 200 g

In a medium skillet over low heat, melt butter in vegetable oil. Season the chicken with salt and pepper (optionally add your favorite spice), and fry over medium heat until golden brown (and cooked through, of course). Remove from heat, place in a container, and seal tightly.

Pour out most of the oil from the pan, leaving about 1 tablespoon. Sauté the tomatoes over medium heat, stirring frequently, until soft.
