Penne baked with parmesan, cream, and prosciutto is the true embodiment of Italian comfort. This dish combines the silkiness of the creamy sauce, the rich flavor of parmesan, and the spiciness of prosciutto to create a harmony of tastes. Baking gives the pasta an appetizing crust, while the aroma of cheese awakens the appetite. The roots of the recipe can be found in classic Italian pasta al forno traditions, where pasta is baked with rich sauces that add depth to the flavor. This dish is perfect for cozy family dinners or friendly gatherings where food becomes the center of warm conversation. It pairs wonderfully with a glass of white wine and a fresh salad, allowing one to enjoy the fullness of Italian gastronomy.

Remove the pasta from the oven, stir again, sprinkle with parmesan (2 tablespoons), and return to the oven. Bake in the lower quarter of the oven for 2-4 minutes until the penne is slightly browned on top.
