Lasagna Bolognese with Sour Cream

Lasagna Bolognese with sour cream is a delightful blend of Italian classic and creamy notes. This recipe originates from the Emilia-Romagna region, where the famous Bolognese sauce was born. Here, rich minced meat, tomatoes, and spices combine in an aromatic symphony of flavors, while the layers of lasagna soak up the sauce, becoming juicy and tender. The addition of sour cream adds a special softness, mellowing the rich tomato flavor and creating a creamy texture. The finishing touch is a layer of melted cheese that turns into an appetizing golden crust when baked. Lasagna is a dish for cozy family dinners and festive gatherings that can provide warmth and rich gastronomic experiences.

1
Chop the onion finely, remove the seeds from half of the hot pepper, and cut it into small rings.
- Onion: 2 pieces
- Red chilli pepper: 0.5 piece
2
Heat olive oil in a saucepan or a large steel pot. Crush 2 cloves of garlic with a knife and sauté in the oil until golden brown. Remove.
- Olive oil: 3 tablespoons
- Garlic: 3 cloves
3
Sauté the onion until translucent. It should not brown. Add the pepper to the onion and sauté for 7-8 minutes.
- Onion: 2 pieces
- Red chilli pepper: 0.5 piece
4
Add the minced meat and fry it until crumbly.
- Minced meat: 800 g
5
While the minced meat is frying, place all the spices, chopped basil leaves, and finely chopped garlic on a separate plate.
- Basil: 1 bunch
- Garlic: 3 cloves
- Dried tarragon: 1 teaspoon
- Salt: to taste
- Ground black pepper: to taste
6
When the minced meat is ready, add red wine to the pot and simmer for 2-3 minutes until the alcohol evaporates.
- Red dry wine: 250 ml
7
Add one and a half packs of tomatoes, tomato paste, and all the spices to the pot.
- Canned tomatoes: 1.5 l
- Tomato paste: 2 tablespoons
8
Thoroughly mix and simmer uncovered over medium heat for 20-25 minutes, stirring regularly.
- Salt: to taste
- Ground black pepper: to taste
9
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.
10
When the sauce is ready, ladle the first layer into the bottom of the dish. Place dry lasagna sheets on top. If the dish is non-standard, the layers can be easily adjusted to the required shape by making cuts with a knife in the necessary places. Then break them.
- Ready-made dry lasagne sheets: 3 pieces
11
Again pour a layer of sauce, which we cover with layers of lasagna. Repeat this 3 more times (depending on the height of the dish).
12
Spread the last layer of minced meat, pour a can of sour cream over it, and smooth it out. Sprinkle everything with grated cheese.
- Minced meat: 800 g
- Sour cream: 1 jar
- Cheese: 400 g
13
Place the mold in the preheated oven for 40 minutes

It's better to serve immediately after preparation.
