Vegetable casserole is an exquisite dish of French cuisine that combines the tenderness of broccoli, cauliflower, and Brussels sprouts with the aroma of garlic and pink pepper. Its roots trace back to the traditions of Provence, where vegetable casseroles with creamy sauce are considered a symbol of home comfort. The broccoli sauce enriched with milk and butter adds softness to the dish while the baked vegetables retain their texture and rich flavor. Grated cheese added at the end creates an appetizing golden crust, adding zest. The casserole is perfect for both family dinners and festive tables, serving as an excellent side dish to meat or fish dishes. Its healthy composition makes it ideal for health-conscious eaters while its rich taste appeals to gourmets.
