Salmon pie is a gourmet dish of American cuisine that combines the rich flavor of fish, the tenderness of mushrooms, and the creamy texture of dough. The origins of such a pie trace back to traditional European recipes that used rich fillings in dough to preserve the juiciness of ingredients. Salmon marinated with onions and lemon juice acquires a tangy note, while the addition of potatoes and mushrooms makes the filling rich and aromatic. Hard cheese adds an appetizing stretchiness, and the dough soaked in filling juices becomes golden and crispy. This pie is perfect for festive dinners, warm family gatherings, or cozy evenings with friends.
