Paella with seafood cocktail
6 servings
60 minutes
Seafood paella is a true gem of Spanish cuisine, embodying the aromas of the sea and the warmth of the Mediterranean. Traditionally from Valencia, paella has become a symbol of hospitality and family gatherings. This version uses a seafood mix that gives it a rich seafood flavor—tender shrimp, squid, and mussels harmoniously blend with fragrant rice, vegetables, and spices. Tomatoes and spices add a slight tanginess and zest, while the multicooker preserves all the juices and aromas. This dish is perfect for warm evenings and friendly dinners where everyone can enjoy the taste of Spain.

1
We boil water in a pot to get boiling water. While the water is boiling, we rinse the rice with cold water. (We use Italica rice, which is best suited for paella).
- Rice: 1.5 glass
2
We clean the carrot, onion, and pepper. We chop the carrot and onion into cubes, slice the pepper into strips, and chop the garlic randomly.
- Carrot: 1 piece
- Onion: 2 pieces
3
Place the seafood cocktail in a bag (for baking) into a pot with boiling water (filled halfway), cover with a lid. Leave it for 5 minutes.
4
Meanwhile, pour some vegetable oil into the multicooker and turn on the 'Baking' mode. With the lid open, cook the onion and carrot (by the way, if you like it spicier, you can add pepper or something else to your taste).
- Vegetable oil: to taste
5
In a separate bowl, pour about 1.5 - 2 cups of water, add tomato paste, seasoning, and salt. Stir.
- Tomato paste: 2 tablespoons
- Salt: to taste
- Seasonings: to taste
6
We drain the water from the rice and add it to the bowl of the multicooker with the vegetables. We add seafood. We mix everything thoroughly.
- Rice: 1.5 glass
- Seafood cocktail: 1 piece
7
Pour water with pasta and spices. The water should be slightly above the rice with seafood. Close the bowl and set the 'Buckwheat' mode for 35 minutes. After cooking, it is advisable to leave it in the multicooker on warm for 10 minutes.
- Water: 1.5 glass
