American Macaroni and Cheese is not like Italian or Russian Macaroni and Cheese. It's a whole casserole! You can also use horns, shells, penne - voluminous, that is, pasta.

Boil the pasta until al dente in salted water.

Melt butter in a large saucepan over medium heat.
