Potatoes in Portuguese

The potatoes are very juicy and tasty. They are quite easy to prepare and are suitable as a side dish for meat and fish.

Wash the potatoes (preferably young, medium-sized) well. Boil until cooked and cool. If short on time, cooling is not necessary.

Gently press each potato with a spoon from the top to slightly crack it, but not break it apart.

Pour a little olive oil into the dish where the potatoes will be baked and scatter garlic slices on the bottom.

Place the potatoes in a dish, salt with coarse salt, and sprinkle with rosemary.

Place about half a tablespoon of butter on each potato or drizzle each with olive oil.
