Homemade pumpkin puree is a delicate, velvety, and slightly sweet dish that originated from American cuisine but has found its place in many gastronomic traditions. It serves as a base for soups, baked goods, desserts, and even side dishes. Roasted pumpkin takes on caramel notes while its puree has natural sweetness and rich texture. Roasting maximizes the flavor of the pumpkin, making it deeper and more aromatic. It can be used in baking—from pumpkin pies to muffins—added to smoothies or paired with spicy spices to create cozy autumn dishes. This simple yet versatile recipe allows you to unlock the full potential of pumpkin, making it tender and rich.
