Pour 3 cups of water over the barley, add salt, and bring to a boil. Then reduce the heat and let it simmer for another 40 minutes until the grains are soft. Drain the remaining water.

Mix barley with milk, sugar, and cinnamon, and place the mixture in a pan. Continue cooking over medium heat for 15 minutes until the milk evaporates.
