Summer Zucchini Saute in the Microwave
4 servings
30 minutes
Summer vegetable sauté in the microwave is a light and delicate dish infused with the aromas of fresh vegetables and spicy seasonings. Originating from French cuisine, it embodies simplicity and sophistication at the same time. Tender zucchini, sweet peppers, and juicy tomatoes create a harmony of flavors complemented by pungent garlic and creamy sour cream. The feature of this sauté is its quick preparation in the microwave, which preserves the natural taste and texture of the ingredients. It can be served hot or cold, enjoying its refreshing summer accent. It pairs excellently with herbs and fresh bread, while adding cheese gives the dish softness and richness. This is a wonderful choice for a light dinner or snack that delights with its taste and ease of preparation.

1
Slice zucchini into rounds and onion into rings or half-rings (I prefer white onion – it's milder, but regular works too). Place in a glass dish, season with salt and pepper, and drizzle with olive oil (you can add regular refined or butter too). Put in the microwave for 10 minutes.

Mix sour cream with crushed garlic. Add grated cheese and mix again, then put it back in the microwave for 5-7 minutes. It can also be made without cheese, it's very tasty.

- Garlic: 2 cloves
- Cheese: 50 g

I am cooking at the highest power of the microwave – 900 W. You can add herbs to taste. That's it, the sauté is ready! It can be eaten hot, but my husband and I prefer it cold.
- Spices: to taste
