Spicy chicken thighs (wings) in an air grill

Spicy chicken thighs (wings) in an air fryer are a flavorful dish inspired by European cuisine, featuring a rich taste and appetizing crispy crust. The key element is the marinade that harmoniously combines the heat of chili and Tabasco, the depth of soy sauce, and the spice of garlic and mustard. Long marination makes the meat incredibly juicy, while the air fryer gives it a golden crust. This dish is perfect for spice lovers, whether for a cozy family dinner or a lively party with friends. The wings are served hot and pair well with chilled drinks and fresh vegetables. Their history begins with the desire to combine cooking convenience with rich flavor, creating an impressive treat with minimal effort.

1
First, we prepare our main ingredient — wash it and make a few small cuts on the thighs for better marinade absorption. For the wings — it's up to you, cuts are optional.
- Chicken thighs: 1 kg
2
We will make the marinade later: we clean the onion and chop it into small pieces. We peel the garlic and crush it with a press (garlic press). We mix all the ingredients in one container.
- Onion: 2 pieces
- Garlic: 5 clove
- Soy sauce: 3 tablespoons
- Olive oil: 1 tablespoon
- Mustard: 2 tablespoons
- Chili sauce: 5 tablespoon
- Green TABASCO®: 1 teaspoon
- Adjika: 1 tablespoon
- Salt: to taste
- Ground pepper mix: to taste
3
Rub the marinade well into the chicken, cover with a lid, and place in the refrigerator for at least an hour. Ideally, 4-6 hours, but it can also be left for a day.
4
Place the pieces on the top rack of the air grill. Drizzle with marinade. Place the remaining onion on top of the chicken — it will burn, but will add extra flavor to the crust. You can scrape it off 5 minutes before the end of cooking to crisp up the crust.
- Onion: 2 pieces

Cook at a temperature of 260–280 degrees. Cooking time depends on the air fryer and your taste preferences. For wings — at least 20–25 minutes, for thighs — at least 30 minutes. In my air fryer, flipping is not required; if yours does, I recommend doing it for 2/3 of the suggested cooking time.
