Fried rice with carrots and onions is a simple yet surprisingly aromatic dish from Indian cuisine. It combines the tenderness of rice, the sweet note of carrots, and the mild sharpness of onions, creating a harmony of flavors. In India, such dishes are often served as a side to curry or meat dishes but can stand alone as a main course. Frying the vegetables in oil brings out their natural aroma, while steaming the rice afterward makes it fluffy and rich in flavors. With minimal ingredients, this dish is perfect for a quick and tasty dinner. It is filled with the warmth of home cooking and reminds one of traditional Indian family meals where food is prepared with love and joy.
