Kortaflyanniki are a traditional Ukrainian dish that impresses with its simplicity and delightful taste. It is believed to have originated in rural areas where potatoes were a staple food. These tender potato balls, baked to a golden crust, have a soft texture inside due to butter and egg, while sour cream adds special juiciness. A light salty hint perfectly complements their flavor. Kortaflyanniki are great as a standalone dish or as a side for meat. Baked in the oven at 200 degrees, they acquire a subtle aroma and pleasant crispy crust. Served hot, often with an extra portion of sour cream. An ideal choice for a cozy home dinner!
