Steak with shrimp and oyster sauce

Steak with shrimp and oyster sauce is an exquisite combination of tender veal and seafood, creating a harmonious balance of flavors. The oyster sauce adds refined depth to the dish, while aromatic herbs provide freshness. European cuisine is known for such bold combinations that offer gastronomic pleasure. This steak cooks quickly due to its thin layer of meat while remaining incredibly juicy. Serving it with arugula, lemon, and slow-roasted cherry tomatoes adds brightness to the taste and visual appeal. The dish is perfect for special occasions, romantic dinners, or elegant entertaining.

1
Preparing shrimp. Pour vegetable oil into a heated pan, add crushed garlic, ginger root, and a sprig of thyme. Lightly sauté the components to infuse the oil with new aroma and flavor. Clean the shrimp and sauté them in the aromatic oil.
- Vegetable oil: 15 ml
- Garlic: 5 g
- Ginger root: 5 g
- Fresh thyme: 3 g
- Tiger prawns: 5 piece
2
Preparing meat for steak. We cut the veal across the fibers and start pounding against the fibers (for those who don't know the rules of steak preparation, I recommend looking for information). Unlike a regular steak, we will pound this one very thin.
3
Wrapping the steak. Spread oyster sauce on one side of the beaten flatbread and place the shrimp. Close the steak like a book, lightly salt and pepper, and throw it onto a well-heated pan with oil. The steak cooks very quickly due to the thin layer of meat but remains very juicy.
- Oyster sauce: 10 ml
- Salt: 2 g
- Ground black pepper: 2 g
- Beef tenderloin: 210 g

Arugula serves not only as a garnish but also as an essential component in this dish. Mix a bunch of arugula with grated garlic and lemon zest. Dress with olive oil and lemon juice.
- Arugula: 15 g
- Garlic: 5 g
- Lemon: 15 g
- Olive oil: 5 ml

You can serve it as you like. In my example, the steak is placed on a plate, topped with a mix of arugula, surrounded by pesto sauce, and next to it is a cherry tomato that was slightly cooked in the pan alongside the steak.
