Meat vatrushki are an original dish of Russian cuisine that combines the tenderness of cottage cheese filling with the rich flavor of minced meat. They can be considered a gastronomic reinterpretation of traditional vatrushki, where sweet cottage cheese is replaced with a savory mixture of melted cheese and cottage cheese. The dish features a rich, layered taste where meat, cheese, and spices create a harmonious texture. Such vatrushki are perfect for a cozy home dinner or festive table. Baked at 180 degrees for 40 minutes, they acquire a golden crust while the filling remains juicy and tender. Serving with greens adds freshness and completeness to the flavor. This dish is easily adaptable — one can experiment with types of cheese and spices to make it even more aromatic and unique.
