Peel the onions and cut them lengthwise into 4 parts. Remove the cores from the apples and cut each into 8 pieces.
- Shallots: 230 g
- Green apples: 2 pieces

Heat the butter in a pan over medium heat. Add the shallots and sauté for 5 minutes until golden. Cover and cook for another 5 minutes until soft.

Open the lid, add apples and wine, close again and cook for 5 minutes until the apples are slightly soft. Open the lid and let most of the liquid evaporate for about 2-4 minutes. Remove from heat and keep warm.
