Oven-baked fish is a simple and incredibly delicious dish of European cuisine, perfect for a family dinner or festive table. Historically, baking fish with vegetables and sauces is one of the most common methods of preparing fish, preserving its tenderness and juiciness. In this recipe, white fish is combined with potatoes, carrots, and onions, while mayonnaise adds a rich creamy flavor to the dish. Baking with a lid helps retain the aroma of the ingredients and forms an appetizing broth that makes the fish even more tender. The dish turns out nutritious, rich, and harmonious, especially when paired with fresh herbs. It is served hot and pairs perfectly with a light salad or a glass of white wine.
