Broccoli casserole with sausage and garlic is a dish with Italian character, combining the tenderness of green cabbage and the juiciness of meat sausages. Inspired by the rustic traditions of Tuscany, this recipe represents a harmonious blend of fresh vegetables and the spiciness of aromatic garlic. Broccoli is first boiled to preserve its texture and vibrant flavor, then sautéed in olive oil for an appetizing golden hue. Grilled pork sausages fill the dish with a rich meaty aroma, while garlic adds exquisite spice. Italians appreciate this simple and hearty dish for its versatility—it suits both family dinners and friendly gatherings. It pairs perfectly with crusty bread and a glass of young wine.

1
Cut three medium-sized broccoli heads lengthwise in half, then into quarters and eighths. Place the cabbage in boiling salted water (3 tablespoons per 5 liters of water) and cook for about 5 minutes. Drain the boiling water, rinse the cabbage in cold water, and shake off excess moisture.
