If the fish was bought by weight, put it in a bag, remove as much air as possible, and place it in cold water. The fish should not come into contact with water or air while thawing.

Clean the pollock from scales, cut off all fins, remove the insides, rinse well, and dry.

Spread sour cream on the fish, add 1 bay leaf, cover with a lid, and bake in the oven at 180 degrees for about 30 minutes.

Grate the hard cheese on a coarse grater. Remove the potatoes with fish from the oven, place the prepared cheese on top of the fish. Bake the dish in the oven for another 5-7 minutes under a closed lid at 180 degrees.
