Chicken rolls with smoked cheese
1 serving
40 minutes
Chicken rolls with smoked cheese are a refined dish of Russian cuisine that combines the tenderness of chicken fillet, the spiciness of smoked cheese, and the rich flavor of bacon. Historically, such meat rolls are popular in home gastronomy as they are easy to prepare and surprise with their rich aroma. Bacon releases juice when baked, making the meat even juicier, while the cheese infuses the chicken with its unique smoky hue as it melts. An original sauce with cloves and pepper adds a subtle spicy note to the dish. These rolls are perfect for both everyday dinners and festive feasts and pair wonderfully with potato sides or fresh vegetables.

1
Pound the chicken breast.
- Chicken breast: 1 piece
2
Cut the cheese into sticks about 1 cm on each side.
- Smoked cheese: 50 g
3
Place a piece of cheese on the chicken breast and roll it up.
- Chicken breast: 1 piece
- Smoked cheese: 50 g
4
Take three strips of bacon, lay them so that one slightly overlaps the other, and roll them into a roulade. Place tightly in a baking dish.
- Bacon: to taste
5
Prepare the sauce. Crush the clove and pepper in a mortar, add ketchup and soy sauce, and mix everything well.
- Carnation: 2 pieces
- Black peppercorns: 7 pieces
- Ketchup: 2 tablespoons
- Soy sauce: 4 tablespoons
6
Generously coat the rolls with this sauce and bake in the oven at 200 degrees for 25 minutes. No need to salt, as bacon and cheese are quite salty. There's no need to grease the pan either: the bacon will provide enough fat.
- Ketchup: 2 tablespoons
- Soy sauce: 4 tablespoons
