Trim the tough ends. If the pods are too large, cut them into 2-4 pieces. Bring salted water to a boil in a large pot. Add the beans and bring to a boil again, then cook uncovered for 10-12 minutes until tender. Rinse with cold water. Dry immediately.
- Green beans: 1 kg

Melt butter in a pan, add beans. Cook on low heat for a few minutes, and just before serving, add lemon juice and finely chopped parsley. Serve immediately.
