Tomatoes stuffed with meat and rice are a dish of Russian cuisine that combines the juiciness of fresh tomatoes with the tenderness of aromatic minced meat. Its origin is linked to the traditions of home cooking, where housewives aimed to use seasonal vegetables most effectively. Baked tomatoes with meat acquire a rich, slightly sweet taste that is perfectly complemented by creamy sour cream sauce and fresh herbs. This dish is versatile – it can be served as an appetizer, side dish, or a standalone hot meal. It pairs excellently with rye bread and light vegetable salads. Due to its simplicity in preparation and harmonious flavor, stuffed tomatoes remain a favorite treat for family dinners and festive gatherings.
