Potatoes with stew

40 minutes
A recipe for a hike, a can of stew you accidentally found, the apocalypse, or an evening when you don't want to spend a lot of time messing around with dinner. Onions are fried, potatoes are boiled, stew is heated up - and it's ready. It's especially convenient that all this happens in one saucepan and in half an hour. And most importantly, everyone will be full.

1
Chop the onion and fry it in vegetable oil in a thick-walled pot or cauldron until golden brown.
- Onion: 1 head
- Vegetable oil: 50 ml

2
Add diced potatoes, pour in a quarter cup of water, add salt, bay leaf, and peppercorns, cover with a lid and simmer for 10 minutes.
- Potato: 1 kg
- Salt: to taste
- Bay leaf: 1 piece
- Black peppercorns: 6 pieces

3
Add the stew, mix it, cover with a lid, and simmer for another 15-20 minutes until the potatoes are done. Season with salt and pepper to taste and serve.
- Stew: 1 jar
- Ground black pepper: to taste
- Salt: to taste
